A matter of time

A possible ruling in the Elizabeth by-election court case could come as early as this week. On Wednesday lead counsel for the PLP Philip Davis wrapped-up submissions. Today lead counsel for the FNM Thomas Evans QC is expected to complete final submissions. The deciding factor could be one vote. Our photo shows FNM Candidate Dr. Duane Sands (left), PLP Leader Perry Christie (center) and PLP Candidate Ryan Pinder (right) outside of the Supreme Court on Wednesday evening. Knowles settles for the silver

Wanting to land a few punches and score some points to avenge his loss to Indian Jai Bhagwan in 2007, were all apart of Bahamian boxer Valentino Knowles' plan when he stepped into the ring to challenge for the gold medal at the 5th Commonwealth Boxing Championships in New Delhi, India. However, the hometown favorite got the best of Knowles once again, forcing Knowles to settle for silver. The unofficial score in one of the most exciting bouts of the evening, according to National Head Coach Andre Seymour, was 6-3.

Do it yourself

The pipe under the kitchen counter has sprung a leak, and there's water everywhere — who do you call? The toilet seat is broken, what do you do? Are you one of those people who at the first sign of a plumbing issue, picks up the telephone in search of a plumbing expert without ever thinking about possibly doing it yourself? If you are, you should realize that picking up the telephone and dialing 123-(PLUMB) will cost you a whole lot more money than you need to be spending.
