The group also discussed The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce, the Bahamas Hotel Association, the Ministry of Finance and Inter American Development Bank's upcoming Globalization Conference and Bahamas Business Trade Show, scheduled for October 2-4, 2008 at the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort.

Held under the theme, 'Towards the future: Globalization, Financing and Competitiveness,' the Globalization Conference and Business Trade show is an attempt to address the subject of globalization relative to its impact upon The Bahamas. The conference is designed to provide participants with a critical review of the country's history; an examination of its present socio-economic state; and perspective of the potential for the next 20 years all within the dynamics and context of globalization and competition.
